Hubertäböck (born January 8, 1908 in Munich ; † unknown) was a German boxer and participant in the 1928 Olympic Games .

Career

amateur

In 1928 he became the first German flyweight champion (up to 51 kg) in Leipzig . In the same year he took part in the Olympic Games in Amsterdam . Here he won in the round of 16 against the Swede Lennart Bohman, before he was eliminated in the quarter-finals against the later gold medalist Antal Kocsis from Hungary .

Böröck was also German champion in 1929, 1930 and 1932. In 1930 he also took part in the European Championships in Budapest in which he failed in the quarterfinals at the later gold medalist István Énekes from Hungary.

professional

In 1933 he played his first professional fight. He beat Albert Hopp in the circus Krone in Munich by a technical knockout in the third round. In 1934 he won the German flyweight championship against Willi Metzner (knockout 5th round). In his first title defense, however, he lost it again in 1935 against Hubert Offermanns (KO 3rd round). This was also his first defeat in twelve fights. Also in 1935 he traveled to Switzerland for two fights, both of which he lost. In 1936 he paused before he played his last fight in 1937.

After about ten years, he returned to the ring again in 1947, now 39 years old. He played four bantamweight bouts during the year in Bavaria , of which he won three and one ended in a draw.
