Hubert Bergmann

Hubert Bergmann (* 1961 ) is a German pianist specializing in free jazz and improvised music .

Bergmann studied music from 1979 to 1983 at the Dr. Hoch's Conservatory in Frankfurt am Main, 1982–1984 in the jazz class. Until 1988 he continued his studies in piano and composition; from 1987 he taught piano at a music school. He then lived in Austria and Germany, studied at the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna at the Institute for Electroacoustics and Experimental Music and at the Institute for Basic Harmonic Research, and he also played in various ensembles. 1994–1997 he lived in Bernau in the Black Forest , where he gave concerts and founded the label Mudoks. He has lived in Überlingen (Lake Constance) since 1998 , teaching and working in solo, duo, ensemble and film projects, among others. a. WithMary Halvorson and Lajos Dudas .
