Hubert Gibson

Hubert Gibson (born June 21,  1948 ) is an American basketball coach and former player.

career

 Gibson, who comes from the US state of Mississippi , studied at Utica Junior College (later merged into Hinds Community College), and came to Germany as a soldier in the US armed forces . With the TG Hanau team , he rose to the basketball league in 1974 . In the 1974/75 Bundesliga season, Gibson was the third-best scorer in the southern season with 399 points, but missed the class with the team.

As a coach, the second Hanau men's team won the Hessen Championship under his leadership in 1979 and was in the final of the Hessian State Cup. Later on, Gibson was assistant coach of the White Wings Hanau for years until 2019 and as such was involved in the team's advance into the 2nd Bundesliga ProA  .
