Hubert Huber (politician)

Hubert Huber (born August 12, 1924 in Weyer , Upper Austria ; † February 7, 2012 in Lienz , Tyrol ) was an Austrian politician ( ÖVP ). He was a member of the National Council , a member of the Tyrolean state parliament and mayor of the city of Lienz.

Life

After primary school, Huber attended secondary and commercial school and then completed an administrative apprenticeship at the Lienz district office. Between 1948 and 1949 he worked as an employee of the Lienz District Commission and from 1949 was an official of the Lienz Agricultural School.

Huber was politically active between 1956 and 1962 as a city councilor in Lienz and in 1962 took over the office of mayor, which he held until 1994. In addition, Huber was a member of the Tyrolean state parliament between 1965 and 1970 and a member of the National Council from March 31, 1970 to December 16, 1986.
