RSI LA 2 is the name of the second public television program in Italian-speaking Switzerland . It is operated by RSI , a corporate unit of SRG SSR .

The station was broadcast nationwide in Italian-speaking Switzerland via DVB-T until June 3, 2019 . The program can also be seen via cable and satellite . Until February 28, 2009 the station was called TSI 2. RSI LA 2 has also been broadcast in HD since February 29, 2012.

The broadcast program consists mainly of sports programs, series and films as well as occasional children's programs.

In March 2015 it was announced that from 2020 RSI LA 2 will be distributed exclusively via the Internet.

criticism

At the end of 2015, RSI LA 2 came under fire because Stefano Eranio made derogatory comments about football player Antonio Rüdiger on its RSI Champions League program . RSI announced a day later that Eranio had been fired for violating all of the broadcaster's ethical rules.
