RTS Info does not have its own channel on TV or radio, in contrast to SRF info and Radio SRF 4 News .

history

The previous program TSR info had been on the air since December 26, 2006 as a pure news program from Télévision Suisse Romande . RTS Info took over its concept and took its place on February 29, 2012, when the television and radio programs of the radio in French-speaking Switzerland were reorganized.

Television program

RTS Info produces two main news programs that air at 12:45 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. There is also local news ( couleurs locales ).

Video live stream

RTS Info can also be received around the clock via a video live stream on the Internet on the website of the same name, in contrast to RTS Un and RTS Deux also outside of Switzerland. It is temporarily taken over by the television program RTS Deux; during this time it is also terrestrial, cable TV and satellite. In addition, RTS Info can be received via HbbTV on the RTS 1 and RTS 2 channels.

The program essentially consists of continuous reporting that is produced live ( Journal en continu ). Moderation, reports and interviews alternate here. During the rest of the time, excerpts from the news programs from the previous day are repeated. The current reporting is supplemented by texts from the editorial team and photos.

radio

The news programs on the four RTS radio programs are also presented under the name RTS Info , including the detailed programs Journal du matin, le 12h30 and Forum, which are broadcast on RTS La Première , as well as the hourly short news (Journal horaire).

Website and mobile app

On the RTS Info website , in addition to the television program of the same name, selected contributions from the television and radio programs can be accessed live on demand . The content can also be used via a mobile app . Individual programs are offered as video and audio podcasts . The website brings all these offers together in the form of an online magazine and therefore serves as a central information platform for Radio Télévision Suisse.
