RTS 2 (until August 26, 2019 RTS Deux ) is the second television broadcaster for radio in French-speaking Switzerland ( Radio Télévision Suisse ).

history

The station started on September 1, 1997 as the second television station in French-speaking Switzerland.

On February 29, 2012, as part of the reorganization of the French-language television and radio programs of the SRG SSR TSR 2 was renamed RTS Deux.

Interactive television

On March 5, 2013, SRG SSR will start test operations of HbbTV in Switzerland on the TV channels RTSun HD and RTSdeux HD under the name RTS + . The solution was developed by Swiss TXT . In addition to news as they are known from teletext, the offer also includes a video on demand component.
