Espace 2 is the cultural program of Radio Télévision Suisse , the public broadcaster in French-speaking Switzerland . The transmitter was founded in 1956 and is based in Lausanne . The motto of the program is: La vie côté culture (Eng. Cultural side of life).

The focus of the program is on classical music and jazz (JazzZ) , alongside world music, but also in-depth magazines and discussions on current and historical topics are produced (Babylone) , as well as literary programs (Entre les lignes) , the theater, the Fine arts and the humanities. Espace 2 particularly depicts the musical and artistic life of French- speaking Switzerland and documents the work of Swiss artists and musicians. To this end, the program works with the most important cultural organizers in the region.
