technology and production center switzerland ag (tpc, until November 2010 tv productioncenter zürich ag ) is responsible for the production of content for SRF (Swiss radio and television) and implements broadcast solutions on behalf of customers.

history

On September 14, 1999, SRG SSR idée suisse approved the establishment of tpc switzerland ag. With this, the production center of Swiss television was transferred to an independent stock corporation on January 1, 2000. The company is a wholly-owned subsidiary of SRG SSR idée suisse and is economically controlled by Swiss television.

The company is based in the Swiss Radio and Television (SRF) building complex on Leutschenbach in Zurich Seebach .

Before it was renamed in November 2010, the company was called tv productioncenter zürich ag .

In April 2019, the SRG SSR Board of Directors decided that tpc should be integrated back into SRF on January 1, 2020.
