Hubert Kalf

Hubert Kalf (born February 11, 1944 in Aachen ) is a German mathematician .

Kalf received his doctorate in 1971 at RWTH Aachen under Claus Müller and completed his habilitation in 1976. From 1977 to 1983 he was at the TH Darmstadt , then until his retirement in 2009 professor at the LMU Munich . His field of work is the spectral theory of linear differential operators , in particular the Schrödinger operator and Dirac operator of quantum mechanics .
