Hubert Rauch

Hubert Rauch (born July 12, 1947 in Steinach am Brenner ; † May 20, 2016 there ) was an Austrian politician ( ÖVP ) and tax advisor. From 1999 to 2008 he was a member of the Tyrolean state parliament .

Life

Hubert Rauch attended elementary and secondary school in Steinach from 1953 to 1961. He then moved to the Federal Commercial Academy in Innsbruck, where he graduated in 1965. He then studied economics at the University of Innsbruck and graduated in 1970. Rauch then worked as an audit assistant from 1971 to 1974. Since 1974 he worked as a tax advisor .

Rauch was local councilor from 1970 and mayor of Steinach am Brenner since 1986 . In 1995 he was elected president of the community association, in 2000 he took over the function of ÖVP district party chairman. Rauch had been a member of the Tyrolean state parliament since March 30, 1999 and was twice elected to the state parliament through the district election proposal of the Innsbruck-Land district. Rauch was chairman of the economic committee from 1999 to 2003 and was chairman of the finance committee from 2003 to 2008. In his last legislative period he was also a member of the committees “Legal, Community and Building Matters” and “Agriculture, Forestry, Transport and Environment”. Rauch did not run in the state elections in 2008 and left the state parliament on July 1, 2008.

In 2010 Rauch received the medal of honor of the state of Tyrol .
