Hubert Schoemaker
Hubert Jacob Paul Schoemaker (born March 23, 1950 in Deventer , Netherlands ; † January 1, 2006 in Paoli , Pennsylvania ) was a Dutch -American chemist and biotechnology pioneer.
Hubert Schoemaker was the founder and president of the first US biotech company Centocor , which developed drugs under his leadership, including the chimeric monoclonal antibody infliximab , which is used in the treatment of Crohn's disease and rheumatoid arthritis .
