Hubertus Troska

Hubertus Troska (born March 25, 1960 in Bilbao , Spain ) is a German manager . As a member of the Board of Management of Daimler AG, he has been responsible for its China activities since 2012 .

Life

Troska first went to school in Osnabrück  and then in Mexico City before completing his Abitur at the German Colegio Alemán Alexander von Humboldt in Mexico City. In 1978 he began studying economics , Hispanic and English studies at the University of Gießen , where he graduated in 1983 with a degree in English . After a one-year in-depth course in business administration, Troska began working in the construction industry in 1984.

In 1988 he joined what was then Daimler-Benz AG for the first time as manager for international sales organizations and overseas sales companies. This was followed by several leading positions, including as a member of the management in the Mercedes-Benz divisions Turkey or Mexico and head of product marketing in sales. In 2003 he became managing director of Mercedes-AMG , the high-performance brand of Mercedes-Benz and a wholly-owned subsidiary of Daimler AG. From 2005 he was head of the Mercedes-Benz Truck Europe / Latin America division within the Commercial Vehicles division.

On December 13, 2012, Troska became a member of the Board of Management of Daimler AG and in this position was responsible for the Group's China activities. He filled a new position that had not existed before.
