Hubertus pharmacy
The former Hubertus pharmacy is a listed building in the Munich district of Solln . The building is located in the Solln villa colony at Diefenbachstraße 2, where it intersects with Sollner Straße, near the Solln S-Bahn station. In the immediate vicinity are the Gasthaus zum Hirschen , a villa with a shop pavilion and the former post office . Together they formed the business center from the early days of the villa colony.
history
The building is one of the early constructions of the villa colony. It was built by Emanuel von Seidl in 1906–1907 and housed a pharmacy for a long time . Today there is an art gallery and an ophthalmologist's practice in a modern extension.
Building
The building is in the style of a neoclassical villa with clear forms. It has a hipped roof and a central projectile facing the street with a gable on which there is a stone deer head with a cross. The deer head stands for the Hubertus legend that gave the pharmacy its name. In front of the risalit is a semicircular balcony supported by colonnades . The building has two floors. The pharmacy rooms and a small bedroom were on the ground floor, and four living rooms and a kitchen on the upper floor.
The original pharmacy furnishings from the beginning of the 20th century, which were restored in 1993/94, are still preserved on the ground floor.
