Hugh Allison
Hugh Allison (born September 29, 1982 in Harlow , Essex , United Kingdom ) is a British playwright , lighting designer , director and actor who mainly works in the independent theater scene in London .
Life
Hugh Allison's theater roles include Osric and Reynaldo in Hamlet . He played in pieces such as This Is A Chair , The Real Inspector Hound and Audience or acted as a narrator in Gunga Din . His directorial work includes Rosalind & The Bear , Taj and Eclipsed . Allison has his own theater company. Allison has also appeared as a film actor in television productions and several short films.
Allison teaches acting at the School of Everything in London and gives courses in Shakespeare, monologue techniques and directing for beginners and advanced learners. He works as a freelance writer at Wireless Theater , as a columnist at DLDhistory and "Artistic Director" at Blank Pages , HuRica Productions and The Yellowchair Performance Experience .
