Hugo Becker (born May 13, 1986 in Metz , France ) is a French actor best known for his role as Prince Louis Grimaldi in Gossip Girl .

Life

After graduating from high school, Becker attended a French-English drama school (Conservatory of Dramatic Art, Royal Academy of Dramatic Art) in Paris. In 2010 he was recognized as a young Cannes talent. In the same year he made his on-screen debut in a variety of roles including: B. as a politician in the French film L'assaut , as a drunken hitchhiker in La proie , as the student Eric Valette in La première fois and as a funny trader in La Croisière . In 2010 he also made his American TV debut as Louis Grimaldi, Prince of Monaco in Gossip Girl . In the fourth season of this series, two episodes took place in Paris and 20 in New York. In 2011 Becker got the lead role in Algebra in Love , alongside Greta Gerwig and Adam Brody , directed by Whit Stillman .
