Hugo Gottardi

Hugo Ernesto Gottardi (born July 31, 1953 in Elortondo ) is a former Argentine football player .

The striker began his career in 1973 with the Racing Club . In 1976 he moved to Estudiantes , with whom he became Argentinian champions in 1982 and 1983 . However, he had to serve a one-month and seven-day ban in October 1982 after testing positive for ephedrine on a doping test . From 1983 to 1986 Gottardi played for Independiente Santa Fe in Colombia. He then returned to Argentina and was in 1987/88 with Talleres and 1988/89 with Lanús under contract before ending his career.
