Hugo Sohnle

Hugo Sohnle (born March 15, 1864 in Ludwigsburg , † December 25, 1938 in Stuttgart-Degerloch ) was a German veterinarian.

Life

Hugo Sohnle studied at the Royal Thierarznei School in Stuttgart . In 1884 he became a member of Nicaria Stuttgart, later the Corps Saxo-Thuringia Munich . he worked both scientifically and as a practical veterinarian. In 1901 he was appointed professor of veterinary medicine at the Hohenheim Agricultural Academy as the successor to Wilhelm Zipperlen . From 1924 to 1925 he was rector of the Hohenheim Agricultural University. In 1931 he retired.

Sohnle was considered a profound horse expert. His work on foal disease and other infectious rearing diseases was considered groundbreaking.
