Hugo Westreicher

Hugo Westreicher (born October 6, 1933 in Zams ; † February 4, 2018 ) was an Austrian politician ( ÖVP ) and hotelier. Westreicher was a member of the Austrian National Council from 1970 to 1986 .

Westreicher attended a secondary school after elementary school and worked as a hospitality volunteer in England and France. He then took over the management of his parents' hotel business and from 1959 worked as an independent hotelier. In addition, he was chairman of the Serfaus tourist association from 1963 to 1970 and from 1976 head of the professional association of the Federal Chamber of Commerce and, from 1980, head of the professional association of the Chamber of Commerce for Tyrol. In addition, he was a councilor in Serfaus from 1968 and mayor between 1973 and 1980. He represented the ÖVP between March 31, 1970 and December 16, 1986 in the National Council.
