Hugues Darmois
Hugues Darmois is a French film editor who also works under the pseudonym Hachdé.
Life
Hugues Darmois gained his first experience in film in 1976 with Claude Lelouch's drama The Good and the Bad and A Touch of Tenderness as an assistant editor to Jacques Lefrançois . Two years later he and Sophie Bhaud made the pattern for Lelouch's A Man Seeks a Woman (1978). For Lelouch's cinematic homage to music and dance, Everyone Will Receive His Wages… (1981), Darmois and Sophie Bhaud received a nomination for César in the Best Editing category . Darmois was also employed five more times as editor of Lelouch's films, including for Going Away and Coming Back (1985).
In 1986 Darmois received a BAFTA nomination for his sound editing by Francesco Rosis Carmen (1984), but was again unable to assert himself against the competition. In addition to his work as an editor, he has also worked as an executive film and music producer since 2003 and 2006 respectively. From 2013 to 2018 he was responsible for editing 17 episodes of the crime series Léo Mattéï - Brigade des Mineurs for French television .
