Chicken pigeons are pedigree pigeons that are bred to have a specific chicken-like body shape. The shape and attitude of the animals of this breed group are strongly reminiscent of chickens . Apart from the most considerable size, which includes the use of some races as economic doves founded, they resemble by the short, wide, built stocky, vollbrüstigen hull, the short, upright on the type of chicken tail, or at least about horizontally carried tail and an upturned rump and the short, strong wings on the outside of domestic fowl. The rump covered with down feathers , the widely spaced, tall, strong, bare-footed legs protruding strongly from the trunk and the whole posture and movement also contribute to this appearance and are considered characteristic of breeds known as chicken pigeons. Also typical are a long, strong, beautifully curved neck, a smooth, hoodless , fairly long and narrow, tapering (stretched) head, a medium-length or even shorter, strong, imperceptibly curved beak, a smooth wax skin and a smooth, narrow one Eye rim.
