Humppakalmisto is the 17th album by the Finnish band Eläkeläiset and was released on November 15, 2013 for the 20th anniversary on the Nordic Notes label . The album was released in digipak , as a download and as a record , the latter including a bonus track .

Music genre

In contrast to the previous albums, in which mainly tracks from rock and pop history of the last 30 years were covered, this time folk tunes, classics from blues history and tracks from the beginnings of pop music were used. The originals are 50 years and older. This is also clear from the translation of the album title, which means something like Humppa -friedhof .

The covered tracks include Waltzing Matilda , Guantanamera , La Bamba , Swing Low Sweet Chariot and 'O sole mio . As usual with Eläkeläiset, the songs received a new Finnish text.
