The Pumuckl song was composed and texted in 1979 for the film adaptation of Ellis Kaut's Pumuckl radio plays by the Bavarian composer Fritz Muschler with the participation of Howard Carpendale , Joachim Horn-Bernges and Ulrich König as well as by Muschler, who wrote the entire Pumuckl film music, arranged. It was published by Accord Edition Musikverlag GmbH . It was recorded as Pumuckl's voice for the film and the TV series by Hans Clarin . It achieved a very high level of awareness with the TV series and today enjoys cult status and is included in numerous children's song books and music books.
