Hutaree
Hutaree is a militant Christian fundamentalist group of the militia movement , which is mainly represented in the US state of Michigan , but also has members in Ohio and Indiana . The group is led by David Brian Stone . According to information on the group's website, the name Hutaree should mean “Christian warriors” in a fantasy language.
The group is said to have trained regularly with weapons since 2008. According to the Hutaree website, members of the group want to "prepare for the end-time battles to keep the testimony of Jesus Christ alive." In the unification of Europe they see the beginning of the world domination of evil and they consider Javier Solana to be the Antichrist .
In March 2010, nine members of the group were arrested by the FBI , including leader David Brian Stone, his wife and three sons. The accused were charged with planning a bomb attack. To do this, they first wanted to kill a policeman and then carry out the bomb attack with several self-made bombs at his funeral. Their goal was to instigate an uprising against the US government.
As part of the trial it was revealed that an undercover agent of the FBI , the Hutaree militia infiltrated (see., And the group members had influenced Agent Provocateur ). In 2012, most of the defendants were acquitted on all counts by a US federal court. Items seized by the police, including firearms, were returned. The serious allegations against the other members were also dropped. Three members pleaded guilty to gun law violations. The sentence was offset against the pre- trial detention and was therefore considered to have been served.
Commentators pointed out that the group's belief system was not actually Christian . Their views were based only on a few Bible verses that were taken out of context and then built on their own theory.
