Huvudsta is an underground station of the Stockholm Metro , which is located in the center of the district of the same name in the municipality of Solna . The station is served by the Blå linjen of the Stockholm metro system . It is one of the less frequented stations on the underground network. 3,000 commuters get on here on a normal working day.
The station was commissioned on August 19, 1985 as the 95th station of the Tunnelbana, when the section of the Blå linjen between Västra skogen and Rinkeby was opened. The platforms are about 25 meters underground. The station is located between the Västra skogen and Vreten stations . It is about five kilometers to Stockholm Central Station .
