Hwang In-ho (* 1972 ) is a South Korean screenwriter and director .

Life

Hwang made his debut with the screenplay for To Catch a Virgin Ghost from 2004. The film combines elements of a horror film with that of a black comedy . Hwang is known for mixing different film genres in his films. In an interview he said he doesn't want to limit himself and develop his films and characters free from genre conventions. In 2011 he made his directorial debut with Spellbound , with Son Ye-jin and Lee Min-ki in the lead role. This film also mixes various film genres. For his next film, Monster (2014), Hwang worked again with Lee Min-ki. In this thriller, a young girl seeks revenge on a serial killer who also killed her sister.
