The Hwaseong Stadium (Korean: 화성 종합 경기 타운 ) is a multifunctional stadium in the city of Hwaseong in South Korea .
geography
The 285,097 m 2 stadium complex is located around 10 km southeast of the city center of Hwaseong in the Hyangnam-Eup district ( 향남읍 ).
Edification
The stadium, which is part of the Hwaseong Sports Complex and which has an indoor hall and a smaller hall in addition to the large open stadium, was completed on June 10, 2011 after a construction period of 29 months and handed over to its intended use on June 30, 2011 and inaugurated on October 1, 2011. The design and architecture of the stadium complex came from the design studio DRDS from Los Angeles in collaboration with several other architectural offices from South Korea. The complex was built by a consortium made up of Hyundai and Samsung . The cost of the project at the time was around 237 billion Korean won (KRW), which would amount to around 160 million euros .
capacity
The large stadium, which is mostly used for football matches, has a capacity of 35,270 spectators. In contrast, the closed sports hall 5152 and the smaller hall 2002 can accommodate spectators.
