I Got Erection is a song by the Norwegian band Turbonegro . It was released as a single on the Hit Me label in 1995 ! Records and was added to the 1996 album Ass Cobra .
Music and lyrics
The song is a simple punk song. The text was written from a first-person perspective and is about a man who gets an erection on inappropriate occasions , including burning a house or listening to hard rock . The suggestive lyrics are an example of the band's black humor, which is mostly based on sexual innuendo and profanity.

I Got Erection was initially released as a 7 '' single via Hit Me! Records. The single was created under the project name Turboneger . The cover picture shows a black and white photo of Hank von Helvete and Bengt Calmeyer on a zebra crossing in Oslo , a reference to the Beatles' famous Abbey Road cover . The two first editions with the word "Turbo" printed in red and black and on white vinyl were limited to 300 copies. Two more editions followed, which were also limited to 300 pieces. On the B-side was the track Jeg Will Bli Som Jesus , a cover version by Kjøtt .
It was followed by a posting on the album Ass Cobra 1996. Two years later, the band played the piece for the FC St. Pauli sampler FC St. Pauli's fault because I am in a German version and with reference to the German Bundesliga soccer new one . This version was later also released on the Small Feces compilation .
Cover versions
On the tribute album Alpha Motherfuckers - A Tribute to Turbonegro , the Norwegian metal band Satyricon released a cover version of the title, which was also used in the band's live program. In 2007 the French drone doom metal band Monarch! the piece on a split single, as it is sung by a female singer, there is a different perspective in relation to the text. In 2010 the metal band Behemoth followed , the song is included on the live double DVD Evangelia Heretika - The New Gospel .
