I Vocalisti is a chamber choir from Lübeck .

Depending on the project, the choir consists of 20 to 60 vocally and musically trained young singers from Northern Germany who have come together to develop demanding sacred and secular choral music at a professional level. In addition to works by "old masters" such as Bach , Brahms or Mendelssohn , the focus is particularly on new works by contemporary composers. Here there is a close cooperation u. a. with Ugis Praulins, Vic Nees , Aleksandar S. Vujic and Bernd Franke .

Since it was founded in 1991, the ensemble has performed in numerous concert series and has won prizes at national and international choir competitions, among others. a. 1st Federal Prize Winner at the 6th German Choir Competition in 2002 and 1st Prize Winner at the International Chamber Choir Competition in Tolosa, Spain, 2004. Radio (NDR) and television (ARD) and Carus-Verlag Stuttgart also produced recordings with the Chamber Choir I Vocalisti . The ensemble gives concerts at major festivals, including a. the "Schleswig-Holstein Music Festival" and the "Festival des Chœurs lauréats". The Chamber Choir I Vocalisti has worked with conductors such as Volker Hempfling , Frieder Bernius and Malcolm Goldring as a guest in master classes .

Choir direction

The founder and director of the Chamber Choir I Vocalisti is Hans-Joachim Lustig , who, after studying school music, lives as a freelance choir director / conductor in Lübeck. In 1994/95 he received a scholarship from the German Music Council. He leads choir and choir conducting seminars nationally and internationally and is the conductor of the Uetersen choirboys , with whose male voices he was also able to win a 1st Federal Prize at the 6th German Choir Competition in 2002. He is also a juror at choir competitions and is frequently invited as a guest conductor (including the Belgrade Radio Choir and the Philharmonia Chorus London).
