I Want to Die in New Orleans is the first studio album by the US rap duo $ uicideboy $ .

The album was supposed to be released in December 2017 under the name I Don't Want To Die In New Orleans , but the release was postponed because the album wasn't finished. In July 2018, the duo announced that the album would be released with the title I Want To Die In New Orleans , because they had realized after the many concerts of the last year that success and money never make you happy. A few days later the I Want To Die In New Orleans tour was announced with two concerts in Germany, on which the album will be heard live for the first time.

The album was finally released on September 7th, 2018.

Leah-Lou Blank says in laut.de that the Suicideboy remain true to themselves despite the adjustment to the commercial market and deliver a solid album .

Jenas Bazer says in Die Zeit that the music and the lyrics sound like they came from junkies or from zombies . Bursting basses and tinkling bells like from a cemetery chapel , on the other hand, would form the rhythmic foundation.
