Ibiyinka Olufemi Alao (born October 17, 1975 in Kogi ) is a Nigerian artist. Alao attended the Nigerian Navy Secondary School (NNSS) in Navy Town, Lagos from 1988 to 1993 , and studied architecture from 1994 to 2000 at Obafemi Awolowo University in Ile-Ife . Since 2001 he has been Nigeria's “Ambassador of Art” (art ambassador). Alao won a United Nations art competition in 2001 , which received more than 300 entries from 61 countries.

In 2001 Ibiyinka exhibited his works on a world tour. The tour opened with an exhibition at the British Council Center in Abuja and took place in the United States , including the Nigerian Embassy, ​​the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City, the Smithsonian American Art Museum in Washington DC, and the World Bank headquarters in Washington DC, the United Nations Headquarters in New York City, Harvard Business School in Cambridge, Massachusetts, the Empire State Building in New York City and the Martin Luther King Center Station. He is an honorary member of the National Institute for Policy and Strategic Studies (NIPSS) in Kuru .
