Ibrahim ibn Abdullah al-Anqari

Ibrahim ibn Abdullah al-Anqari ( Arabic إبراهيم بن عبد الله العنقري, DMG Ibrāhīm ʿAbd Allāh al-ʿAnqarī ; * 1928 ; † January 14, 2008 in Geneva ) was a Saudi politician.

Career

He ran the Secretary of Education, entered the foreign service, and worked at the Washington, DC embassy . He then held a leading position in the Ministry of the Interior and became Deputy Minister of the Interior. From 1970 to 1975 he was minister of censorship and represented the kingdom at several regional and international conferences. From 1976 to May 1983 he was Minister for Labor and Social Affairs. From May 1983 to 1992 he was Minister for Urban and Rural Affairs in the cabinet of Fahd ibn Abd al-Aziz . He was then a special advisor to the monarch.
