Idols is a casting show in the Netherlands that is about finding the best singer. The show is based on the British hit show Pop Idol , better known in Germany as Deutschland sucht den Superstar (DSDS). From 2002 to 2008 the program was broadcast on the Dutch TV channel RTL 4 . In 2016 the show made its comeback on the TV channel RTL 5 .

The winners of a total of five seasons were Jamai Loman (2003), Boris Titulaer (2004), Raffaëla Paton (2006), Nikki Kerkhof (2008), Nina den Hartog (2016) and Julia van Helvoirt (2017).

DSDS presenter Tooske Ragas (seasons 3–4), herself from the Netherlands, presented the first two seasons of Idols , together with Reinout Oerlemans. Martijn Krabbé moderated seasons 3 and 4. He did it in season 3 with Chantal Janzen, in season 4 with Wendy van Dijk. In seasons 5 and 6 Ruben Nicolai and Lieke van Lexmond were responsible for the moderation.
