Eva Maria Simons (born April 27, 1984 in Zaandam near Amsterdam ) is a Dutch singer .

Career

Eva Simons, the granddaughter of accordionist Johnny Meijer , was best known for the Dutch season of pop stars , Popstar - The Rivals . We were looking for five female singers for a band . Simons made it into the top 10 and was chosen as the last choice in the band Raffish . In 2005 she separated from the band and started her solo career.

Simons released her debut single Silly Boy in early September 2009. It received millions of clicks on YouTube because the song was originally known as “ Rihanna feat. Lady Gaga ”demo. In July 2009 EMI Music announced that the major label had signed Simons.

After losing this contract in early 2011, she signed a recording deal with Interscope Records in early 2012, where artists such as Lady Gaga and Madonna are under contract. In June of the same year, the single This Is Love was released together with Will.i.am , which debuted at number 1 on the British charts.
