Ifugao, also known as Batad, is a Malayo-Polynesian language spoken in the Ifugao Province in the northern valleys of the Philippines . It is closely related to the Bontok and Kankanai languages. The language is part of a dialect continuum and the four main variants of the language, such as Tuwali , are sometimes viewed as separate languages.
Ifugao has its origin in the Tuwali language , Kalanguya is another language in Ifugao, which is spoken especially in Tinoc, a part of Ifugao. It is very different from the language of the people of Bontoc. Ifugaos and the Igorots were enemies a long time ago, there were head hunts. The Ifugaos and the Igorors differed greatly in culture, language and skills.
