Ignacio Orbaiceta Zabalza (born April 9, 1923 in Egüés , Navarra ; died April 20, 2011 in Pamplona , Navarra) was a Spanish cyclist .

In the 1930s and 40s, Orbaiceta was one of the best sprinters on the road and track . His greatest success was victory on the fourth stage of the Vuelta a España in 1946 from Cáceres to Badajoz . He also won u. a. three stages of the tour of Catalonia . He ended his professional career at the age of only 26 at the end of 1949 after more than 30 victories on the road, track and cyclocross .

The Orbaiceta family began selling bicycles of various brands after the end of their racing career. In addition, they produced motorcycles, and later also heaters and electrical household appliances. In 1990, the sales network was expanded to 30 countries and Orbaiceta began to establish its own bicycle brand Conor .
