Ignazio Raimondi
Ignazio Raimondi (* around 1735 in Naples , † January 14, 1813 in London ) was an Italian violinist, composer and concert organizer.
Live and act
Ignazio Raimondi received violin lessons from Emanuele Barbella before playing in the orchestra of the Teatro San Carlo in Naples from 1759 to 1762 . From 1762 to 1783 he lived and worked in Amsterdam , where he worked as a soloist and concert organizer. In these concerts he often performed his own works. He first appeared in London in 1785 . Here, too, he worked as a conductor and concert organizer until around 1800.
Raimondi wrote several violin concertos , several symphonies and chamber music. His opera La muta was performed at the Théâtre-Italien in Paris in 1789 and is considered lost.
