Iguala de la Independencia , often shortened to Iguala , is a historic city in northwest Guerrero state , Mexico . It is the seat of the municipality of the same name Iguala de la Independencia and has more than 110,000 inhabitants. It is the third largest city in the state of Guerrero after Acapulco and Chilpancingo .
