It is a residential area in the district of Oberwittighausen in the municipality of Wittighausen in the Main-Tauber district in the Franconian north-east of Baden-Württemberg .
geography
The Ihmet residential area is about a kilometer north of Oberwittighausen on the edge of the Schafbach Valley . The Schafbach is the right main line upper course of the Wittigbach . About 200 meters south of Ihmet is the residential area at the Gaubüttelbrunn stop , where the Dammbach flows into the Schafbach from the left before it joins the Wittigbach between Ober- and Unterwittighausen at the Grenzmühle residential area through the confluence with the Seebach (the left main course upper course) to form the Wittigbach.
Immediately to the east of the residential area is the Wittighauser district boundary in the direction of the Gaubüttelbrunn district of the Lower Franconian community of Kirchheim .
history
The Ihmet residential area came as part of the formerly independent municipality of Oberwittighausen to the newly founded municipality of Wittighausen on September 1, 1971.

There is a train stop for the Frankenbahn near the living space . The living space can be accessed via the L 511 ( Kirchheimer Straße ). The street Am Ihmet leads over the residential area at the Gaubüttelbrunn stop to the residential area Ihmet. From the direction of Gaubüttelbrunn , the residential area can be reached via WÜ 34 . The Main-Tauber cycle path leads past the Schafbachtal. From this the Gaubüttelbrunn sculpture cycle path branches off into the Dammbachtal.
