The Il Polo Glacier is a small glacier on the Ingrid Christensen Coast of Princess Elisabeth Land in East Antarctica . It flows north between the Polar Times Glacier and the Polar Research Glacier to the Publications Ice Shelf .
The American cartographer John Hobbie Roscoe (1919-2007) mapped it using aerial photographs of Operation Highjump (1946-1947). Roscoe named the glacier after the magazine Il Polo (Italian for The Pole ) of the Instituto Geografico in Forlì .
