Landhaus Hasse

The Landsitz Hasse with the Landhaus Hasse and Hasses Park is located in Bremen , Oberneuland district , at Rockwinkeler Landstrasse 41/43. The building was built between 1896 and 1896 according to plans by Eduard Gildemeister and Wilhelm Sunkel, the park around 1790 and 1880 respectively. The country house, park and orangery have been a listed building in Bremen since 1982 .

history

Senator Christian Nicolaus Schoene's estate came to Senator Engelbert Wichelhausen (1748–1819) in 1788 and to Senator Justin Friedrich Wilhelm Iken (1785–1866) in 1819 . Two grandchildren of Senator Iken shared the property between them in 1894/95.
To the south, the country estate of the businessman Carl Otto Hasse was built with the two-storey country house from 1896 with a hipped roof and two turrets based on designs by Gildemeister and Sunkel.

The rear part of the park from around 1790 from the time of Senator Wichelhausen is now a public park.
The front part of the park was probably redesigned around 1880 according to plans by Wilhelm Benque .

The private Tobias School Bremen as a support center and a kindergarten use the facility; a new building complements the complex.

Orangery

Nearby, the small, former orangery of the old Iken estate has been preserved with its functional, sophisticated ventilation and shading mechanism. Presumably it comes from the time when Wichelhausen took over the country estate. The glass house was added to the half-timbered building of the north German farmhouse architecture with the asymmetrical saddle roof and the gardener's apartment. Due to the heavy mechanism with counterweights, the sloping windows and wooden shutters on the south side can be pulled under the roof by hand.
