Ilene Chaiken

Ilene Chaiken (born June 30, 1957 in Elkins Park , Pennsylvania ) is an American director , screenwriter and film producer .

Life

Before starting her job, Chaiken worked as a screenwriter and director for the Creative Artists Agency ( CAA ) in Los Angeles . As a screenwriter, she wrote and produced various television films and series. With the television series The L Word - When Women Love Women , she made her international breakthrough as a screenwriter and director. She is also involved in the sequel, The L Word: Generation Q , which has aired since 2019 .

Chaiken lives with LouAnne Brickhouse in California . She has two daughters with Miggi Hood, her former partner.
