2K Czech is a Czech computer game - development company based in Brno and a further branch in Prague . The company was founded in 1997 as Illusion Softworks by Petr Vochozka and the venture capitalist Cash Reform Group. The company's most successful titles include Mafia: The City of Lost Heaven and Hidden & Dangerous .

In February 2002 Illusion Softworks founded the development company Zima Soft together with Martin Zima in the Czech Republic. They are currently developing for the US publishers Take 2 Interactive and D3 Publisher. The company is managed by CEO and founder Petr Vochozka.

On January 8, 2008, the takeover of the studio by the publisher Take 2 Interactive was announced and the name was changed to 2K Czech.

January 2014, the rumors about the closure of the subsidiary of 2K Games were confirmed to the internet platform eurogamer.net. With this step, the publisher would like to improve the cooperation between the individual studios by transferring 2K Czech employees to the studios in Brno and California.
