Farmhouse in the pillars 1

The house in the pillars 1 is a listed building in Dedeleben in the municipality of Huy in Saxony-Anhalt . It is registered as a farmhouse in the local register of monuments.

architecture

The residential building is a two-storey, villa-like building, with a full basement, built in exposed brickwork made of yellow clinker bricks in 1894. It is based on a base made of porphyry square masonry, which is finished with a cover made of red sandstone. The corners of the building are framed with sandstone slabs, and a cornice visually separates the two floors. At the parapet, transom and lintel height of the windows, the exposed brickwork has a surrounding, color-contrasting stripe.

The outer walls of the top floor are built as a half-timbered construction; it is visually separated from the clinker masonry on the upper floor by a surrounding parapet strip with fan rosettes, a profiled threshold and filler wood . The two gable dormers above the side projections shape the appearance of the residential building with their half-timbered construction and the elaborate window cladding made of wood with braided tape elements in the attic. On the street side and on the gable sides, the window openings have cladding made of red sandstone, profiled sandstone striker elements and sandstone lintel elements with tooth cut decorations. The windows of the basement have wrought iron grilles, curved in an S-shape on the courtyard side.

The entrance to the building is on the courtyard side and, due to the management of the courtyard stables at the time, consists of a simple servants' entrance and a protruding entrance portal with a triangular gable on two round pillars made of red sandstone. The triangular gable is decorated and bears the numbers of the year of construction 1894.

The windows facing the courtyard have no cladding made of sandstone, they are arched windows with a segment arch as a lintel in the exposed brickwork. Some windows show remnants of lead glazing . The stairwell of the building is decorated with stucco work and ceiling paintings.
