The player takes on the role of Tire, a former special forces soldier who travels to the island of Yingzhou after the mysterious death of his mother. Together with Ksana, a friend of his mother's, he tries to uncover the truth about her death. While exploring the island, Tire is confronted with human and non-human opponents and comes on the trail of a secret organization that is carrying out cruel experiments. The plot is based on an old Chinese legend that has been transferred to the present for the game and its content has been modernized accordingly.
Gameplay
The player controls the Tire character with two PlayStation Move controllers. The locomotion takes place without a so-called teleportation , which means that the player can move freely in the environment by pointing with a controller in the desired direction and walking at the touch of a button. The freedom of movement of 360 degrees makes it possible not only to confront opponents directly, but also to sneak up on their backs. In the action sequences there are 15 different weapons available, two of which can be used at the same time. The player can shoot a pistol and, independently of this, throw a grenade at opponents with the other hand with a throwing motion. In addition to exploring the environment and first-person shooter passages against enemies such as mercenaries and monsters, solving puzzles is a central principle of the game. Only when Tire successfully passes the skill test and decrypts clues will a further phase of the game be released or hidden collectibles can be found.
