Imre Danka

Imre Danka (born December 24, 1930 - May 3, 2014 ) was a Hungarian football goalkeeper .

Athletic career

Danka first played for various clubs in the eastern Hungarian city of Szombathely . After working at Szombathelyi Bőrgyár , Szombathelyi MTE and Szombathelyi Honvéd , he moved to Székesfehérvári Építők in Székesfehérvár in 1953 . From there he moved to Pécsi Dózsa in 1955 . At the club he ended his active career in 1964.

In the spring of 1955 Danka moved into the circle of the Hungarian national team , for which he played three games during an international trip in May of that year through Northern Europe. On May 29, he wore the national jersey for the fourth and final time in a 3-1 win over Scotland .
