Athletic career

Sátori started playing football at Budafoki MTE . In 1958, the striker moved to Csepel SC within Budapest , with whom he won the Hungarian championship title at the end of the 1958/59 season due to the better goal difference compared to the defending champions MTK Budapest FC with the same points .

While the club could not confirm the success in the following years, Sátori moved into the circle of the Hungarian national team . In 1960 he made his debut for the national team with which he took part in the football competition of the 1960 Summer Olympics in Rome . After the semi-final defeat by Denmark , he stormed for third place in the game alongside János Göröcs , Flórián Albert , Pál Orosz and Janos Dunai . The last two scored the Hungarian goals in a 2-1 win over the host Italian team , which led to the bronze medal. In the course of the year he played a total of five internationals , but remained without a goal.

After the descent of Csepel SC in 1961, Sátori moved to FC Tatabánya , but returned after two years to the re-promoted Csepel SC. From 1967 he let the club Egyetértés SC, which later became part of MTK Budapest FC, end his career, with whom he rose to the first division in late 1968. At the end of the 1969 season he was relegated to the club again, and in 1970 he ended his career.
