János Göröcs (born May 8, 1939 in Gánt ; † February 23, 2020 in Budapest ) was a Hungarian football player and coach .
Life
Göröcs began his sporting career in 1949 with the Budapest club Jutagyári TE and in 1951 moved to Vasas Izzó , where he stayed for six years. From 1957 to 1972 he was a striker and midfielder for Újpest Budapest . He then played for two years for the club FC Tatabánya . After his active time as a player, he worked as a football coach.
Göröcs took part in 62 games of the Hungarian national football team and scored a total of 19 goals for them. At the 1960 Olympics in Rome , he received the bronze medal with the Hungarian national football team.
