In My Eyes an American was Straight Edge - hardcore band from Boston . Founded in 1997, it was one of the most important groups in the youth crew revival alongside bands such as Bane , Floorpunch and Ten Yard Fight .
In 1998 the band members released their first album The Difference Between on the hardcore label Revelation Records . In early 2000 their second and last album Nothing To Hide was released , also on Revelation. In October 2000 they gave their last concert on the second National Edge Day , a holiday of the Straight Edge movement, and then broke up. Before and after their time at In My Eyes, the members played in other straight-edge bands such as Panic, The Explosion or Fastbreak. In My Eyes was named after the song of the same name by Minor Threat .
