A year later, however, Cappo decided to set up Equal Vision Records to found a label for bands who followed the same religious interests as he did. With Cooper as sole boss, the label developed well and grew steadily. By 2003 over 100 records had been released. The most successful releases were Gorilla Biscuits ' "Start Today" and "No Spiritual Surrender" from Inside Out .

Revelation Records is based in Huntington Beach , Los Angeles . The label firmly established itself in the hardcore scene by early 1990 at the latest. Responsible for this were bands such as Gorilla Biscuits , Youth of Today , Chain of Strength , Side by Side and Judge .

In 2002, a 15-year anniversary sampler entitled "Revelation 100: A Fifteen Year Retrospective of Rare Recordings" was released, and records from Dag Nasty and Curl Up and Die were released.
